YAY!!! New Pool Build in Progress - Tomball TX - Bring on the expert advice!

So we went with Pearl Matrix as we liked the larger pebbles...Satin Matrix is the same thing but has smaller pebbles (many claim will be softer and smoother) - Yet to be determined by us. To be honest Jamie i was really scared once they put it in as i was scared it was going to be too light. I personally really liked the midnight ocean but it was a lot darker and i was scared it would make our tempature to hot to enjoy. So they sprayed it in and i instantly regretted not going with the Midnight Ocean....It was to pastel...Then they came and did the acid wash and i thought ok that looks better....then it started to fill with water and i saw the sparkly abalone shells and thought oh this is going to turn out beautiful. Last night the water was dark enough for my taste...cant wait to watch it all day today and see how the sun makes it sparkle.

Utility guys are here this morning marking all the lines again - getting ready for landscapers on Monday! Pool is still filling...Cant wait till we can add the hoses to the spa to fill up.

One more of the Sunrise this morning - this view is not going to get old!

Congrats on a beautiful pool. Ours was just plastered yesterday with wetedge prism matrix deep sea blue. It's very similar to the midnight ocean but has more glass and other shiny materials.

We love it. Still working on balancing water so expect the color will change s little.

Oh my so sorry friends we have been enjoying the water - Here are some pics - first day in the water was Friday around 4:00 - Water was super clear and there was nothing in it...Saturday morning PB came by and said water looked good but we needed to start it up so he added some Muratic Acid and I think shock - Said we would really get it going on Monday but he wanted the kids to be able to enjoy it this weekend.

We had to stay out of the water until 2:00 and we did - We brushed it around 10:00 and can definitely see that the water is not clear anymore :) oh well i guess that is to be expected. He also got out our waterfalls working and helped to setup our remote so we could play with the lights - told us we need to run the pool 24x7 for the first week...No idea what that is going to cost us - is that normal?

the little shark thermometer that floats in our pool says that the water is about 90 degrees - Now let me tell you -its August in Houston - but since its so windy in our backyard i cant imagine the pool being any cooler? Weird???? We were sitting in the pool yesterday evening and were saying how chilly it was when we all got out :)

Here are some pics of the past two days...

I think you need a new thermometer.
I can't imagine a fresh fill getting to 90 degrees in such a short amount of time.
I bet you can't wait for the PB to hand over the reins.

What happy kids! I bet they have been sleeping REAL good after all of that fun!

It will take almost nothing for us to get it clear for you. Just waiting for the PB to give you the go ahead! Show him your kit and see what he says!

Thanks everyone - We love it too! We literally swam from sun up to well into the night - You should have seen us yesterday we were skimming the bottom of the pool with two fridge magnets as we kept finding these small metal wire bristles everywhere. I assume the pebble guys must have used an old brush of some sort. Both my oldest son and my husband ended up with one in their foot.

Today will be a fun day - i had to remove everything from the pool deck as they are coming to acid wash the decking, Kitchen guys will be adding brick and hopefully stone to the kitchen, Landscapers will be here, and PB will be by - Oh my! So the youngest is a little sad that i told him no swimming today until all the people leave.
