Working on algae, what does "clear" really mean?

Normal dirt will collect in dips in the pool floor, just vacuum it up. Just let the FC drop to the top of your normal daily target range to test the pH. You need a little CH, around 50 ppm for a vinyl liner pool. If you have a heater you may need a little more. Your manual should say how high CH should be. If your water is so soft it foams raising the CH a little should help cut that down.
 
That's good information, thanks. I don't have their measurements but the original value was above 100, guess adding 10lbs wasn't needed. Oh well, I should be set on calcium for a while!

Thanks for the info on when to test ph and to just vacuum as needed.
