Why do I have to lower my PH every week?

Welcome to the forum! :handshake:

Rising pH comes from many factors. Aeration. You have some of that with the SWCG. Any spillovers, fountains, descents, etc? Fill water. What is the pH and TA of your fill water? Are you adding more fill water?

I suggest you read Pool School - ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry and consider reviewing the entire Trouble Free Pool School book.

You may also want to get the Pool Math app.

Don't lower the pH so much. Just lower it to 7.6 when it hits 8.

Your SWCG does add aeration.

Reduce your pump run time to that needed to create chlorine. The action of the pool returns disturbing the surface of the water is also aeration.

Liquid Chlorine is basic when added but is pH neutral overall. The chlorine gas created by the SWCG is pH neutral.
