Me again! I’ve ordered my TFP test kit and should have it by the end of this week, but I’m trying to figure out what the white stuff is on the walls of my pool as seen in the pictures I began reading through several posts and threads reading of calcium covering entire shells of fiberglass pool. My pool is only 4ish months old but this white stuff appeared about a month in, but not this large. I am able to scrape it all off but it comes right back. I was one that relied heavily on the pool store but have quickly realized that isn’t my best option which is why I turned here. I know I need to provide results and will once I get my kit and test the water but I am trying to get ahead of this problem. When it first happened I reached out to my PB and he said it was likely concrete dust that made its way down from water being splashed but this is the only place it’s happening, no other place. My guess is it’s calcium buildup, am I right in my suspicion?

It is above the waterline, correct?

Looks like it is bleeding down from the concrete coping. Most likely normal efflorescence that is getting pushed down with your very wet and humid environment. Doubt you will be able to stop it. Just use a weak acid solution to wipe it off.
