Pool is opened and finally pretty well balanced yet this stuff of floating on the surface. It's not skimmable.
Note:
-cover seemed like it was 'thinning' when removed (and thrown away)
-phosphates were extremely high (large Oak near pool not helping) nearing the end of No Phos treatment and phosphate near 100 ppm now.
-used HTP algae guard in start up (maybe too much?) A week ago.
-lots of pollen floating in the air.
-have not added clarifier yet as only 24 hours into second No Phos treatment.
-used all Leslie's opening products except for the Algae Guard.

When can I add the clarifier? I've never had this problem before, but as mentioned the winter cover seemed somewhat compromised.

I would stop using all these products. Do not add anything else. They are all not recommended, and causing your problem

Use only these chemicals:

How are you testing your water?
If you have your own test kit, which one, and can you post a full set of results?

We'll get you cleared up...

I have Leslie test strips from last year but I don't think they're still good. Here's the printout from my water sample from yesterday morning. Since then I've added the powder powder plus and later the No Phos.

Order a test kit today. Pool store testing is notably unreliable and we can do more harm if we use there numbers. Here are the kits we recommend...Link-->Test Kits Compared

Add 5ppm of liquid chlorine PER DAY, nothing else, until your kit arrives.

We'll get you cleaned up!
