There should be an air temperature sensor somewhere near the controller. It might look like this:
maybe I need a new one because there was definitely not 65° of warmth anywhere near it

it's on the north side of my house, so yes, but not exactly facing the sun

North side of house in DFW should always be in shade during the winter.
Is it close to anything that might be warmer than the air? Can you post a picture of the location?

I’m an idiot, it’s the south side lol.
It’s on top of my OmniLogic unit itself. So nothing unusually hot other than maybe brick during the summer.

The controller may put out some heat and heat rises. Bottom of controller would be a better location.
