Troubleshooting Tristar VSP pump won’t turn on despite showing it should be on in my OmniLogic

A Century EVQ 225 motor will be able to be controlled by your automation. No need to replace the entire pump.
That’s great but I think it’s a drive problem not a motor problem. I just paid a pool guy to come over and he turned it on immediately from the control panel on the pump. I Disconnected it from the pump control panel and reconnected to the OmniLogic. Now the OmniLogic won’t recognize it. I’m going to turn it off for 15 minutes and then turn it back on to see if the OmniLogic will recognize the pump again. Now I have a new problem!!! Before it was being recognized by the OmniLogic no problem but wouldn’t turn on. Now it will turn on but it’s not recognized by the OmniLogic.

Hayward has seen some instances where the HUA from a Gen 3 VS pump was not visible to the Omni control.
These instances have occurred after:
Solution that Hayward found is that power needs to be turned off to the pump for a MINIMUM of 5 minutes and as much as 15 minutes to allow the drive to reset. Once power is restored the HUA was visible to the Omni and the pump worked normally.

- The pump was installed with incorrect dipswitch position and the dipswitch was moved while power to the pump was still on.
Solution that Hayward found is that power needs to be turned off to the pump for a MINIMUM of 5 minutes and as much as 15 minutes to allow the drive to reset. Once power is restored the HUA was visible to the Omni and the pump worked normally.
Man I don’t know what I did. I did this for 15 minutes no luck. Did it multiple times. No luck. Just did for a 3rd times. VSP showing up. Man I didn’t need to spend more money on a pump. Thanks all wish I knew what happened.Power the pump fully down for 15 minutes.
