sorry to bring up an old question, but i never actually got back to this... i am still struggling to figure out what these unions are? These go into my pool heater and I really want to replace the cracked one. I ordered some haywards but they weren't the same. I am trying to find the exact ones so i don't need to plumb the male end of the heater.
Another question: Can i use the pvc cement i have for inside plumbing? The pink cleaner / clear cement I get a big box stores like Home Depot, or do i need a special pvc glue to make repairs?
