What type of sand

Hi,

My new Hayward S244T sand filter should arrive today. Any recommendations on what type of sand I should get? Also any tips on filling the sand filter would be appreciated.

Make sure you buy pool sand. There have been many reports that QUIKRETE® Pool Filter Sand is not working for folks. It has a lot of finer grains and passes through the filter laterals and ends up in the pool. So I would stay away from that one.

Thanks! Two years ago I replaced the sand in my filter with Quickrete and I’ve had issues ever since. Can’t wait for the new filter and new sand.
