What salt gen do I need

I have an above ground pool that’s 33 foot. About 28000 gallons of water. Give or take I am think about installing a salt gen when I replace the pump ( not working I have the pump). What size gen do I need and will a in ground gen work. I don’t have much money so please be nice. Lol.

Hank, I will be as nice as I can but your not going to like it... SWG's have gone up in price majorly in the last month... At 28,000 gallons you need a 45k to 60k cell so you can run you pump about 12 hours to create enough chlorine for your pool..

The SJ 45 will also work but you will have to run it about 12 to 16 hours a day...

I see that. May have to bite the bullet and get one. Can’t find bleach and no where to buy in bulk.

For a salt cell to work properly, it needs to be rated for about 2 x the volume of your pool or larger..

In your case this means a cell rated at 60K.. This is because cells are rated when running at 100% output and 24/7...

I too would recommend a CircuPool cell.
