What is this?

Clear pool. Rained last night. This was the skimmer. Had roof replaced last 3 days in case it is residual construction effects. What is this? Is it a type of algae? It looks like an oil slick

Been reading all the forums on this topic, ran the two stroke leaf blower around the pool twice yesterday to make sure the deck was clear of any residual roofing debris. Crazy that this is possible by running a two stroke engine for 10 minutes at most around the pool.

Shingles are nasty. I imagine its just the runoff from them. Keep the fc up and throw some tennis balls or a scum bug in there to soak up the oils .

Tennis balls did great! Nice little black line around it
