My pool went cloudy overnight and I’ve been chasing chemicals for a month dumping $$ in it (per others advice) My best recollection below of timeline…
1. Pool was cloudy- shocked it a couple times with GALLONS of chlorine
2. Low pH high Alkalinity- added Muratic acid - pump off etc. more shock. - still cloudy still high Alk, low PH and no Chlorine
3. Attack Alk again. More acid. Same result. Lowered pH more
4. Added pH Up (lbs)
Clear Water - yea
5. But Alkaline high (240) and pH high (8.2)
Help!!

Welcome to the forum!
You will find TFPC is quite a bit different than pool store methods. We advocate the pool owner doing their own water testing with a proper test kit. See Test Kits Compared
You may need to follow the SLAM Process. But get a proper test kit first and then post up your water chemistry data so we can provide you appropriate guidance.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
