No, I don't think so. I would just scoop out until they go away. It's likely a cycle of some kind that will run it's course. (I hope)
Do you don't think the red bugs and the black bugs are the same? That's at least a start. The red bugs do seem to be out more when it is sunny. It's raining today, but will check that as soon as I can.
Thanks!
QUOTE=Propbndr;795618]The microscopic red bugs sound like Clover Mites. Crush one with your finger, if it leaves an orangish smear, that is probably what it is. They like to "sun" themselves on warm surfaces. The good news is that, unlike chiggers, Clover Mites do not bite people or pets. They can be killed by just about any insecticide.
[/QUOTE]I don't have a clue what the black bugs may be. They are not clover mites though. How big are they? Do their hind legs stick out backwards lookin like they may drag? If that is the case, they may be juvenile Japanese Beatles. Post a picture if you can.

Dove in it after it rained all night and all morning. It was 76 and I was HOT. That is the record lowest temp I have ever jumped in. Didn't stay in long but it was good. Went in twice.
That's 21 degrees above my record. I got in with the kids today. Finally creeping into the seventies.

Low and behold, I went in for my first dip. At 74, I wont be back in until we are at least 8 degrees warmer. Lots of good reports here from the weekend, good to hear the updates!!
Sissy! Oh my goodness if I waited for 8 more degrees I'd never get to swim!
Flipped the switch for the pool pump.
