What are these black caps

What are the purpose of these black caps around my hot tub? I know they have to do with the jets, because they leak a lot of air when the jets are on, is this normal? If not how do I fix them? Thank you in advance for any input.

How many of those black caps do you have around your spa?

Do the black caps turn?

Does your spa have an air blower?

I think they are valves to adjust the air bubbles in your spa jets.

Like Allen, I suspect that they are not caps but valves that allow you to add more or less air to your jets.

Yep, they look like air control knobs to me.

Thanks for the input, they are air control knobs, when I unscrew them there is air suction. I think I need some new gaskets, there seems to be a lot of air leaking out when the jets are on

Do you have a powered air blower for bubbles in the jets?

If you don't have an air blower then those valves are air intakes to suck in the air to make the bubbles. If you seal the valves then you have no air bubbles.

That would explain that when I cover those up with my hand the air bubbles stop. So I guess they need to breathe, interesting. Thanks for the info.
