How do you know when the algae is dead and the foam is safe to put back in the door? I have it soaking in a bowl with bleach right now.

Over nite should surely do it. Rinse thoroughly, give a squeese or 2 and see if any green tint appears.

Try to get a higher density Foam where there are no cavities. I have a thread somewhere around here. Just can find it.
