Days are also getting shorter now, and the sun is not as high anymore. It's the time of the year where we all (well, not me, I'm starting to crank up, spring has finally arrived here  ) have to reduce SWG output.

But definitely still more than 0.3ppm per day. Your FC might be high enough so that it all looks the same on those strips, which could hide that FC is actually dropping.
I thought the days were getting shorter because of my age :).

I have been running the pump at 8-10 hours on low speed (total) and 3-4 hours of that at high speed. My pool heater doesn't come on unless it is on high speed, so that's why the high speed has been on for so long. I got the pool installer's 8-10 hours recommendation for the summer months. The SWG is wired to the low-speed timer.
The other option is to reduce your pump run time which will reduce the amount of chlorine produced. You need to run your pump to skim, to circulate chemicals and to produce chlorine via your SWCG. Your PB most likely used 8-10 hrs because they believe you have to turn over the water in your pool x times a day. This is not required and costs you more money to run your 2 speed pump.

The PoolMath app can help you balance your % chlorine output for your SWCG with varying pump hours to obtain the FC needed daily.

Someone asked to see my water test results, so here they are. Keep in mind that I have kept the SWG on the lowest setting of 5 for a couple of weeks now. Temps are still in the mid-80s here, and I keep the water temp at 86 degrees. I already increased the hardness and added some phosphate remover, so those should be dead on now.

I finally fixed this problem. I installed a separate z-wave timer for the SWG. I have attached a video here explaining what I did and how it works. I like this timer so much I may install a couple more for my other devices for a cheap but solid automation system that works with Alexa and Google Home. Note, this timer requires a z-wave hub or comparable Alexa or Google device. I hope this helps someone else with the timer and automation issues.

The timers are on sale for 99.00 from the Jasco site but are 159.00 on Amazon, so be careful.
( I am not affiliated with Jasco any way)
You can find the timers here - Enbrighten Z-Wave Direct-Wire Outdoor/Indoor Smart Switch, 40 Amp, Gray

And the video here - iCloud

Please let me know if you find this helpful. Thanks for all of your input.
