Wall drain

I would like to put a wall drain in my in ground pool that I will be building soon. According to code do I have to put two drains spaced 3’ apart or will I be able to just install one drain?

Can I put just one wall drain? Will that then avoid the VGBA requirement?

Pretty sure all new construction requires dual drains for safety, if you add a main drain.
