VS pump recommendation for 26K IG vinyl pool SWG

Looking to upgrade to a VS pump 220-240vac on SWG 26k pool.
I have a Hayward 1 1/2 HP single speed pump and a Hayward s244t filter that its designed to filter at 62 gpm with 1 1/2" fittings.

Yes I'm a journeyman electrician. But pool is new to us. Came with the house we just bought..

The major three suppliers are Jandy, Hayward, and Pentair. All make good VS pumps. All will give little to no warranty unless installed by a professional (invoice needed).

Circupool has VS pumps, some have a relay built in that will be sure your SWCG is only powered on when the pump is running. That is important.

Inyopools has an in house brand too.

Both Circupool and Inyopools give 18 month warranties on DIY installs.

Size of the VS pump is not that big of a deal. They are variable hp, so whether it is 3 hp, 2.7 hp, 1.6 hp, etc. you just set the pump to the rpm you need to circulate the pool water.

Inyopools may have a VS motor that you can install on your existing pump. Check with them on that.

Anything will work that's the beauty of a VS. You use the power you want. The Hayward tristar is great if you wanna stick with Hayward. The pentair are great pumps and as said circupool have a good warranty. Anything 1.65 to 3hp will work but the bigger pumps have 2" fittings you will have to bush them to 1.5" and on a larger pump set the max rpms down a little to 3k to be safe with older plumbing
