Using a Cover whilst SLAMMING

Hi All,

This is my first post. Just about to receive my test kit and about to start my first SLAM. I have an old bubble type cover. Is it a good idea to cover the pool using the old cover whilst carrying out the SLAM to keep the sun out and give the chlorine the maximum chance to get to work on the algae. Thanks to all for a great website and looking forward to a sparkling pool!!

It won't have that much of an effect. Depending on how much algae we're talking, it may be easier to leave it off so you can vacuum daily.

I've seen many posts indicating it is best to leave it uncovered.

All of the CC off gassing/sun burning it off etc...
