Upgrading to Pentair 250k MasterTemp - Is 2 PSI Sufficient?

(Edited) Hey,I'm currently considering an upgrade from a Pentair 200k BTU heater (a 17 year old unit that rusted out) to a 250k MasterTemp model. The existing setup includes a 1/2 inch gas line that extends about 35-40 feet. On the pressure regulator of my main gas line (A Honeywell 1813C), I noticed "SPR 2#" stamped in red, also regulators in front of all gas appliances. Does this indicate that the regulator is set to maintain 2 PSI? If so, would this setup be sufficient for the new 250k BTU unit? Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance for your help!

Is the 1/2 inch gas line before or after the regulator?

Is there a regulator by the heater?

What is the CFM of your gas meter?

Post pics of the data plates on your gas meter.

Does this indicate that the regulator is set to maintain 2 PSI?

You have higher pressure gas service that is then reduced to low pressure gas by each regulator.
If so, would this setup be sufficient for the new 250k BTU unit?

Depends on the setup you have between the regulator and the pool heater.

If that is 2 psig, it can provide about 56" of water column. The heater only requires 14" maximum. You may have, or need, a regulator in front of the heater.
 
2 psi with 1/2" pipe at 50 feet is good up to 673 cfh or 673,000 btu/hr.

For 400,000 btu/hr, 1/2" at 2 psi is good up to 125 feet according to the National Fuel Gas Code.

Hayward recommends going to 3/4" if the length is over 50 feet.

Always comply with the manufacturer and the NFGC (National Fuel Gas Code).

You will need a 2 psi to 7" w.c regulator immediately before the heater.
