union screen on pool pilot getting clogged with debris

Hi,
I am new to the forum. I am having issues with the union screen on my dig-220 pool pilot salt chlorine. It is getting with debris. I have to stop my pump a couple of times per day to clean the union screen. I now this could be related to my filter and filter cartridges. What should I look for to troubleshoot this issue? My filter id a pentair clean and clear plus.

Welcome to the forum!
No debris should be getting by your filter. One of your cartridges is compromised. You need new filter cartridges.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
