Texas Winter with the Pool

Hi!

I have missed you guys but didn't need much during the winter! I followed your advice on not "closing" in Texas and the pool has looked fabulous all winter! I am so ready to be back in it! The picture shows you two things - the water clarity coming out of winter and my missing drain cover. I did recover the cover and have put it up until pool people get back out, but how did I lose a cover? Thoughts? Never found screws.

I also want to learn more and do better with my pool each year. I use the TFT 2006 kit. What would be an upgrade or a tool to add to this kit for better testing results? Any item you think helps you keep your pool pristine and makes your life easier?

Thanks again for everything! Can't wait to do this summer again with this group!
Melissa

Melissa, welcome back to another TFP season! For your test kit, you should consider fresh reagents for sure. If you don't have a magnetic speedstir, I would get one of those as well. As for the drain cover, good question. I wonder if the screws were never installed previously? But great job on the water. Looks great. :goodjob:

SpeedStir is an absolute necessity. If you want to have more fun, order a sample sizer and some Taylor tubes for it. Also get a salt test kit. Then get a cheap tackle box.
