Testing kits question - new pool fill

When the cell is actively generating, you should get bubbles. And yes, they do ignite lol.

I see PM has a SWG option under add chemicals. Hmmm do I log this daily? Or maybe just this 1 time when I started it up?

I log it each time I make a setting change. That way I look back over the past years and can see my settings for a time of year. Pretty much can change mine on a schedule now.

Trying to determine best way to test if my SWG is producing what it should be based on the settings I applied when first turning on the SWG.

I was thinking of just doing the FC test everyday, either in morning before work or when I get home. My last FC test with liquid chlorine was 6.0. This was 12pm yesterday. Turned on the SWG around 4pm that same day.

Any suggestions? Thanks all.

Hi folks, quick question for you.

1 of my pool lights the builder will be replacing as the red color (Jandy nichless LED) doesn't work.

They said it can be replaced with no draining but water will rush into the piping if I don't drain down.

Should I bump up chlorine with some liquid chlorine before they come so any water that rushes in pipe will have a good amount of FC in it(will that FC level even last inside conduit pipe)? Or would you recommend I drain water down below light so no water will enter?

Or last option, stop over thinking and don't worry about it. 😀

Thanks!

I also removed the umbrella sleeve caps for the first time and water was very cloudy inside. Cleaned them all out really good, now can see all way to the bottom of the sleeves.

I was thinking of grabbing a turkey baster and squirting liquid chlorine inside before quickly screwing the cap back on. Is this a good idea? Are these caps water tight?

Thanks all!
