SwimClear filter, what size.?

We have a very small yard and unfortunately our equipment will be occupying a good amount of it.

17k pool/spa
Hayward equipment
400k heater
sp32950vsp pump (2.7hp)


Builder was putting in a c5030 filter, but i was wondering if we could do with something smaller maybe a c2030?, just so it would not be as tall/easier to hide.

Or is the c5030 the best bet since its already included in our quote

Welcome to the forum.
Bigger filter means you need to clean it less. Will the C2030 keep the water clean? - Yes, it will. But plan to clean it many times per year versus once per year. I always suggest a minimum of 200SF of filter area for each 10000 gallons of pool volume.
