Hi - just getting used to my new SWG. Question - how do I figure out the right level of chlorine production to maintain the appropriate chlorine ppm? Last night, I took a reading and it was 6.2. Which I think is about where I want to be. I took another reading this morning, and the chlorine was 5.8. I have my SWG set for 40% with a pump run time of 10 hours. Based on pool math, that should mean about a 1.1 increase in FC. So if I am losing approximately .4 PPM over night - and if I set this for 40% - I would assume that I will lose another .4 during the day. So .8 in a 24 hour period? Does that mean that at 40% - if I add my 1.1 to 5.8 = 6.9, however; with the loss in 24 hours, I can expect my chlorine to be 6.9 - .8 = 6.1 - do I have that right?
 
Test your FC then wait 2 or 3 days and test your FC again.

If your original FC test was 5ppm and then 3 days later it was 8ppm you can calculate your SWG is over producing by 1ppm/day. Reduce the SWG output by 1ppm and then monitor what your FC is after a few days.

Continue doing this dance as the FC consumption changes over the season. It will increase until August and then decrease into the fall.

Hello. I just had an ichlor 30 installed. I noticed that my chlorine had actually been going down so I went out to the unit and noticed it was not turned on. Opening my control panel I noticed that the filter light did not turn on when the automation schedule kicked on turning on the pump. I manually pressed the F button and the ichlor turned on. Here are my questions:

1. From a pool.filtration perspective does it matter that the f button does not turn on? The pump turns on at the scheduled time and the multiport valve is turned to filter.

2. In any case, is there a way to ensure the filter button comes on with the automation scheduler so that the ichlor turns on?

Your schedule should be set up so the Pool Mode (F button) is on for the entire time the pump is to be running.

So us your schedules from Screenlogic.
 
Hi! My former pool person set it up. Same person that I had install my ichlor. I have taken over daily maintenance follow tfp methods but I don't quite feel comfortable with the equipment installs since I am not that handy. I.spoke.to him and he told me that it is possible that they scheduled a time on the pump itself causing an issue with the F not turning on? I am out of the house but I will.semd you my schedules when I get back. Thanks a bunch!

Success! When I went to control box, I notice that 0 was displayed for pool.schedule however in the app I clearly had a pool schedule. In any case I deleted all schedules from box and app and then re entered them in app. Success! Thanks again!

Glad you got it running... :goodjob:

You have the "lite" version of the EasyTouch. It can only have a max of 4 schedules and that includes any egg-timers not set to the default of 12 hours.

Unfortunately, ScreenLogic will allow you to enter a bazillion schedules, they just won't work... :mrgreen: Someone may have set the pool schedule as schedule #5 and it will just not show up on the EasyTouch. Just a heads up if you adjust the schedules again.
