As I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now, I came across a great idea from Kimkats :kim:concerning a place to hang our beach towels, shirts, etc. I searched in nearby Raleigh, NC and found a guy who reconditions surfboards so I went to visit him last week and bought a colorful (and relatively cheap) non-working surf board from him. Drilled a few holes in the thing, bought some dock cleats from Amazon and BOOM. Instant Hawaii themed towel hanger.

What do y'all think of the board?? Surf's up, dude!!

Really a great look that really, really fits the theme. One thing though, these surfboards are they expensive, or did you just fashion a board to look like this?

I found a guy near downtown Raleigh who reconditions old surf boards. He sold me an old, beat-up, used one for less than $100.

Sweet.... gonna steal your idea.

Go for it. I basically stole the idea myself so turnabout is fair play, I guess. LOL
