I have a superpump that is probably 30 years old. The motor bearings need changed and I have run in to two issues. The bottom pump housing bolt on one side appears to have been over tightened to the point that it crushed in to the housing and the corners of the bolt were rounded off. The bottom bolt on the other side just spins. I'm guessing there is an insert that has broken free inside.
I started cutting the head off the rounded bolt and decided to hold off until i could get some feedback on the second bolt. Am i correct that it screws in to an insert and if so what are the chances of me being able to re secure it?
