Looking for a suggestion on an automation system to purchase. I would like to be able to purchase and install it myself and can be controlled and monitored via wifi and/or phone app. Thank you in advance for your suggestions on brand, place to purchase and options.

27,000 gallon vinyl pool located in southeastern PA (No spa) installed in 1977
Current Setup:
Pentair 3.0HP pentair intelliflo VS + SVRS Model (011017) Older model
natural gas Hayward Heater (new last year)
AquaRite Chlorine Generator (old but still works great)
Other parts
Polaris booster pump (connected to mechanical timer in breaker box) (would be nice to be automated and tied into the automation system)
Hayward Pool light (just simple on/off using a switch) (could be automated but not necessary)
Jandy valve that is just for base drain and skimmer control (would be nice to automate but not sure of the value to switch from drain and skimmer automatically)
Patio lights which are controlled on timer right now (would be nice to automate)

It's best if you keep the skimmer/main drain valve manual. This will allow you to set it to only partially open MD.

Take a look at IntelliConnect. It's a great value and should suit your needs. It doesn't operate valves, but you don't need that. It will give you full integration of your pump via RS-485 (two-wire) communication. It should provide basic control of your other components. Check out the manual for compatibility questions.
