Didn’t expect my submersible pump to leave a rust stain. Kind of bummed out because my plaster is less than two years old.

get some vitamin c tablets and put them on the spots, might need to hold them down with a rock or brick (something without iron in it 
) should lighten up the spots considerably. If you have to use the pump again I would put it in a bucket first

I have read about using vitamin C and will try that. I will definitely put the pump in or on something next time.

Mine did the same thing. I will try the vitamin C. This is in the deep end and I tried the brush but it didn't help much. When the pool is warmer I'll dive down and see what I can do if the Vitamin C doesn't help.
