Stone/sand like substance in pump basket

Hi guys and girls,any idea what this could be? It looks like a stone but breaks easily.Pool is just over a year old and this is the third time I found this sand/stone like buildup in the pump basket.It is a salt water pool, if that has something to do with it.

Can you post your own test results?

Have you tested it with acid?

Is that beige colored? Someone else had something like that recently and never figured out what it was.

New pool .... probably plaster or construction debris that got in the plumbing. It takes time for that stuff to works it’s way to the pump basket. I remember once finding a big chunk of pebbletec in my pump basket the spring after the pool was built.

Thanks. Check out the other posts. I was concerned about scale but those results do not imply a scale issue.
