I am looking for a way to install a splitter on my return line so I can put in a fountain with the standard return still operating. I would rather not convert it to pvc to accomplish this.

How is it currently plumbed? What size hoses? Can you post a picture?
You are going to most likely need a valve on the return to pool if you want any kind of pressure on that fountain. Water will naturally take the path of least resistance.

Ahhhh! I bought the one you recommended domct203 and it didn't fit. The hoses and the tee fitting are exactly the same size. I figured the barbed fitting would be slightly smaller because its male...Nope. I tried to force them and Iam sure if I push harder the hoses will break. I to lube the hoses as well... Should I try a 1 1/8 inch tee or 1 inch tee next?
If they 'almost' fit, you could heat the hoses up with a hair dryer, etc. and they should slip over the barbed fitting.
The hoses must be metric then, and not true 1-1/4" hoses. I would suspect that a 1-1/8" (if you could find one) would be too small.
