Split Union for Hayward Sand Filter 21055-150-000 - SP14953S

I've got a CMP union (Unions (1.5" Socket x MIP Flush) - CMP)

Equivalent to the Hayward SP14953S and my union split after about 8 years. Wondering if there is an easy fix , maybe via a split union or some other method for this or am I looking a a replumb?

I have not seen any other way to fix that then cutting pipe and putting a new one in.. The good news is you have plenty of room to do it

My limited experience with CMP products is that they are not as durable as the Hayward originals.

I was able to unscrew the union on the filter side, use the fastener than came with the SP14953 I ordered and all is back in order. Good news! No cutting required.
