I have a raised spa (not 360). The edge is pretty much flat. If there is a slope, it is too small to even notice. I very much like the look. The water spills over at a trickle which I also prefer to a "waterfall". Of course, it is a personal preference.

I dont have a preference because i have not seen many perimeter spas in person. I want to be able to sit on the edge of the spa. There are stairs on the side sp there is only one way in and out of the spa. I am also not very tall.
People usually don't sit on the spillway.
The slope can be 1", but you want to make sure that everything is done exactly right.

2" would probably look better (less visible), but 1" would probably be safer and work better for people.
You also probably want to avoid slick tile if people will be walking or sitting on the edges.

It is a large solid piece of bluestone tile as well, not small squares so that may be a driving factor.View attachment 467869

Will doublecheck later this evening, but I believe mine is 2 inches of slope over 18 inches of spa wall distance. Spa is 9 x 10 foot inside measurement and 12 foot x 13 foot outside measurement.

Sure thing. Thanks for the compliment. We actually had to cut it down as the designer got a little carried away (initial design was 12 x 12 foot inside and we were like WTH?).
Correction - it’s about ~1.25 inches slope over a ~17 inch ledge.
