Spa

This question should directed to your plumber, that’s who advises me of the slope to in turn advise the Shotcrete supervisor/gunman, he has calculated the flow rate over the spillway at a minimum GPM.
I would go no more than 1 1/2” if you are planning on using it to sit on, also iIf you don’t like the look at 1 1/2” the tile crew can adjust it up (less elevation).
Shotcrete crew needs to on their game and the B/B spillway needs to be laser checked continuously, this also goes for the tile crew.

Thank you for your response. I dont have access to the plumber, only the pool builder.y PB and designer said he always does 1” and has been in the business for 20 yrs. The project manager said he always finishes at 2” and he has been in the industry for even longer. I’m at the mercy of their subs and oversight to get it right. We had storms so the shotcrete was delayed because they had to muck out several yards of mud today. Now I will be unable to be here tomorrow. Very nervous!

I wish i could! What slipe do you normally use if you dont mind me asking. The spa sits at deck level so you will have to sit down to enter the spa.

With variable speed pumps you be able to get a good flow over the spillway, more important is the uniformity of the spill and that has everything to do it’s level elevation.
If I may suggest, I typically have the steps in a straight wall spa cut at a 45 to maintain a continuous seat that can be walked on.

Thank you for all Of your input! The PB recommended this because it gives you somewhere to Rest your elbows. Otherwise i would have deleted them. I have seen 45’s before but i dont believe I've sat in a spa that had them.
