Spa trouble

What’s up TFP,
I control my pool and spa using easy touch and ScreenLogic 2. When I turn my spa on one jet has water coming out but with little pressure. I have my spa set at 100 gpm. But when I look at my screen logic it only registers 55 gpm. When I turn on the blower for a minute and shut it off all the jets are working. I check the rpm again and now it’s reading 100 gpm. Which is what I have it set at. To sum up this mess. My spa does not work unless I turn the blower on first. Very strange. Any ideas?

Ok I have an update. When I turned the heater on the spa worked like it was supposed to. So does this mean I can’t run my spa jets unless the heater is on?

Is this is a new set up that has never worked, or has it worked for years and just now went bad???

Please post another pic of your equipment pad with the system in the Spa mode, but more from the top so I can see the valve positions.

Thanks for the response. I went out this morning. Turned on spa with the heater turned on. Did not work. Same problem. I just turned my pool on. GPM stay at 55. I have my pool set at 30GPM but still reads 55GPM. I turned on my pool high which is set at 90GPM but reading still at 55GPM

Forgot to add. This is not a new set up. 4 years old

If this were my pool I'd want to eliminate ScreenLogic as the problem...

I'd first go look at the pump and make sure it says " Display Not Active".. this just confirms that the com port on the main board is working..

Then, I'd use the main control panel with the little 3" display to change pump speeds and see if it works from there.

I suspect that one of your Screenlogic transceivers is intermittent or bad, but that is the point of troubleshooting.. To find what works and what does not..

Ok thanks. Just cleaned out skimmer basket on pump. Found this. Any ideas on what this is?

My wild guess would be a part of a wheel bearing from a cleaner...

If it was in the pump basket it did not come from the pump...

Speaking of cleaning, when was the last time you cleaned your filter, and what is the filter pressure when running at 100 GPM??

I cleaned my filter about a month and a half ago. Cleaned filter pressure was 10 psi. It now reads around 13 psi. At 100 GPM filter pressure is 30 psi.

That 30 psi reading was from the spa running.
