I have a Pentair Intellitouch system with an indoor remote / personality kit. When I put it into spa mode, I'd like the heater to start automatically. How can I make that happen?

The way this normally works is that the heater is left on and set to full hot... the heater's fireman's switch is connected to the IntelliTouch and controls the heater. When you select Spa, the valves rotate to the spa position and if the temperature you want the spa to be (called "set point") is less than the water temperature, then the automation closes the firemen's switch and the heater fires up. The heater will continue to heat, until the water temperature equals the "set point" temperature.
Your VS pump should also go to whatever speed you have assigned to "Spa"..

When I go into spa mode, the spa starts... but then I have to go to heat and turn on the heat. Are you saying the heat should always be on for spa mode? I guess that would make sense!
