I’m debating about taking down my 18/48 intex frame pool for the winter. I’m worried about the liner being damaged both ways. We do get below 41 degrees.

Normally in our area we just leave them up. If we hit a hard freeze, keep the water moving to prevent freeze damage.

So by me, with real winters, I find that most take them down the first year or two and either way, year 3 it's standing for the winter without harm.
Intex style pools close in a similar way as traditional aboveground and IMO, puts less stress on the frame. Rust will be the downfall of the pool and disassembly, reassembly and making a pile of pipes will add lots of scratches to the finish. Then mice or whatnot may chew or use the liner for shelter.
