Hey all. This is my third year owning a vinyl inground pool. When i just checked the water level under my safety cover (solid). I noticed it’s all ice and level is about 2 inches below the liner track (aluminum coping). Should I be worried about this? When the top layer of pool turns to ice, does this raise the level? Will the level drop back down on thaw?
Anyone with a liner pool experience this in winter? My cover is not mesh so I manually pump off water from the cover. Not sure how much the level was drained when they closed my pool ether. I use a pool company for closing. I do have a gizmo and one of those plastic covers that cover the entire skimmer front opening. Guess I’m worried about water and ice getting to and destroying the coping or liner.
Never realized how much anxiety owning a pool would cause smh.
