South Florida - New In-ground Large Build

I believe the bubblers are either lights, bubblers or both. I have to check. As long as they are I also think lighting is sufficient on the shelf.
When we dig - i will mess with light placement of the main pool area.
Channel drains will not be pebble filled - I love them, but the dont have the required 316 gpm.

All channel drains, and return fittings will be grey...... and the channel drains are completely flush....so no toe stubbing or robot getting stuck.

That is something you will have to play around with when they dig. I am thinking it will be over to the side enough to not cause a problem but am not sure about this so...................get a small flashlight and see what is what and what works for you. Now if your wallet is fat enough then put a low power light on my bench and call it good.

This is one pool the truly has something for everyone and oh so many areas to enjoy.

Now the thing you are really going to have to watch is the fact it is so different and most of the grades are used to "cookie cutter" pools so they might fall back or flat forget the details of YOUR pool. I would have a blown up view of your pool and all of the details put somewhere everyone can access it to look at and every time someone shows up to work on the pool make they are cognizant of the details of YOUR pool.

I have several pool features "named" after me due to sharing an idea or two to put the finial touches on the pool. I so love it when one of my wild ideas works out for someone!

Well, I pretty much kicked out any trades that gave me the impression of the "cookie cutter" factory! So hopefully, everyone I have is on board with the fact that I want them to build or do what ever they are there for, better than if they were building it for themselves.....
My steel/form guy is used by every pool builder in the palm beach area - he is awesome and loves the design- so he is coming down to my area just to do this!
The gunite people are the best game in town - Southern Gunite
I will be doing almost all plumbing and electrical (with a certified electrician baby sitting me).
And the tile and coping are still to be determined..........

Very sound plan then! Well done!

I meant to tease you about you saying "after talking to me they figured out I knew as much about building a pool". All you had to do was show them that fence you built! That work of art would have shown them you know what end of a screwdriver to use! LOL

YEAH! Pictures!!! Thanks for working it out! Can you share any insight on what worked so I can share with others?

This has never been more true--LET THE MUD BEGIN!!! They took ALL of your grass!!! Man that had to hurt to see :(

Kim:kim:

I just had to reduce the file size.....my fault. Not the greatest on computers!
Grass - the good news is i still have about half of the yard that will be grass. Right now its dead though!!! Thanks to all the big trucks moving in and out...

I remember when we were working on the size and placement there was talk of saving that part of the yard for grass. Good job! Will take some effort to get it back like you had it!

Kim:kim: (not sure how to make files smaller either hmmmmm will have to learn)

January 7th........Gunite Day!!!
First Truck got here at 0700.....last one left at 6pm!!!! Long day, but these guys were beasts!!!! Other than a couple of little hiccups.....all went well. Pool finally has shape!20190107_174125.jpg20190107_073451.jpg20190107_080807.jpg20190107_104123.jpg20190107_115416.jpg20190107_142420.jpg20190107_141657.jpg20190107_173150.jpg20190107_174206.jpg
