Solar blanket shortage?

My solar blanket is starting to shed those contact-lens circular plastic disks. I figure it's time for a new one. I paid about $50 three years ago. The one I bought (Sun2Solar Blue 21-Foot Round Solar Cover | 800 Series | Heating Blanket for Above-Ground Swimming Pools) doesn't seem to be available anymore. The ones that are available are 3x as expensive at least. Has COVID led to the great 2021 solar blanket shortage?

Got a new one last year this time. They had plenty then.

I was going to make this exact post!!! Yesterday threw away my 2 year old cover that I left in the sun for too long. A lot of the dimples started to make a mess around the pool.

I figured I would just hit up Ebay like I do every few years and order one up. It seems like the last two times I bought one, it came directly from In The Swim off their Ebay site. Guess what, I couldn't find anything that wasn't over $200.00. I typically only buy the cheapest one, because they all seemed to last about the same amount, and the thicker they get, the heavier they are to move around.

I have a relatively new one used 4x for free if anyone wants to drive to Maryland.

I wonder if a big roll of Bubble Wrap from Uline would work if I taped it together and cut a 21 foot circle.

Keep checking back. They all went out of stock a few weeks back and then they all restocked.
