I will check my levels again tonight right before dark and adjust as needed. Will update again tomorrow morning.

Added bleach to FC 12. PSI gauge was up a bit so I did an after dark cleaning of my filter. This was the first time I have taken night time pictures with my iphone and wow am I surprised how well it works in the dark. I assure you it was much harder to see then what is shown in the picture.

With that level of green after two days, I am concerned the CYA is higher than you are assuming. Hopefully the pool was well circulated after your exchanges prior to testing the CYA. Your pool should be getting blue and cloudy very soon if the CYA is 30 ppm and you are maintaining your FC level several times per day.
I took my pump out of service due to a leak I noticed right before the water exchange was under way. I removed the motor to work on it and then life took my focus in other directions and there were a few weeks that went by before I got it back installed and was able to get circulation going again. The algae was pretty heavy and I expect I will have a couple more filter cleanings before I see a noticeable color change. Also as I stated a few posts above, I don't have a a true pool vacuum. I have a Polaris 360 which to me is more of a leaf and large debris catcher (even with the silt bag). I am not using my Polaris during this process because I don't like the idea of keeping it exposed to such high levels of chorine for however long this process takes.

CYA test is not effected by chlorine levels.
The Polaris would be fine in there but its filter would get plugged quickly.

The CYA less than 30 is not a surprise to me. That matches the earlier result I got after the last bit of my water exchange. It seems that the black dot does become hard to see, although not impossible, when I completely fill the small tube (pass the 30 reading). So I assume I'm around the 20 CYA range.

It would be best to add 10 ppm of CYA. It will protect the FC from the UV during the daylight hours.

Above readings are a hour after I washed out the filter this afternoon. Added bleach to get it back to FC 12. I really wish I knew a better way to wash it out. My current method is to take the garden hose sprayer and turn the setting to fan (vertical line) and then I start at the top and go all the way around slowing trying to let the water jets hit in between each pleat.
Pool is still green but I'd say its a little duller shade of green than before. Hopeful its progress!

With the FC falling below the SLAM level so often, it's going to take longer. I know 'life' goes on and you are juggling priorities so it's not always possible to do the steps more frequently, but if you're only raising it to 12, then really you're only at the right SLAM level for a few minutes. Perhaps target above 12 with your additions so the average level is at least a bit higher?
