Hi folks!
New guy here and to pools, i have a small intex easy set , ive had it up about 3 weeks now and am finally dilaed in as far as testing adding chems etc.. my issue is it seems like my PH keeps rising . my other chemistry is good. but it seems like when i get home im adding a littile bit of acid almost every day along with the chlorine. My TA is about 80. and we had a particularly hot week last week. But im wondering if my aerator ( comes with intex easy set pools not standard) is raising my PH too much. I upgraded to the 1000 GPH filter, and im running it 3 times a day for about 3 to 4 hrs at a time. its crystal clear, and like i said other chems are good . but im just wondering if because its such a small pool if i would be better suited removing the aerator. im checking the chlorine and PH daily so i honestly don think i even need it. please give me your thoughts and wisdom lol.

Here is a link I think you will enjoy reading: Pool School - Recommended Pool Chemicals

In short you will see the main way to make pH go up is to............wait for it............aerate the water! LOL So you might want to think about cutting it back some or not using it at all. One good thing about aerating the water is that it does help cool it off some so........it can be good also!
