If you follow Recommended Levels - Trouble Free Pool you will not be.

Well then mine is at CSI -.22 with PH 7.6, Alk60, CH425, CYA60, FC6.0, water temp 64, so I added 3/4 gallon chlorine.I forgot to say that a CSI down to -0.3 is not corrosive enough to concern yourself with, so it's not all bad!
