Wall pressure is wall pressure. Whether its from unleveled ground, a liner or a pickup truck backing into it. I was just showing what buckling may look like. Hoping you don't get it of course.

Those legs don’t look level, and it sounds like you weren’t on a firmly tamped surface, allowing your support under the legs to sink.. I hear you about your husband not wanting to drain, but I would do so, and fix those issues. Better to do the extra work than to have the pool fail and someone get hurt.
