ScreenLogic Issue

Okay so I have a schedule set for my pool, spa lights, and pool lights. Now suddenly I cannot control anything from my app unless it is during the scheduled pool run time. Any advice? Here are my schedules. I tried to turn my hot tub on last night and the buttons would turn green, but wouldn't actually come on. So I tried today while to the pool pump was running on schedule and I could turn on hot tub. But, when I tried to turn it on again a few minutes ago, it will not turn on, neither will the pool. The only thing I can turn on or off is the lights.

H,

If all you have is those three schedules, then I'm puzzled...

Do you have an EasyTouch 'lite' with no load center for your circuit breakers below the relays?? If so, the ET lite can only have a max of 4 schedules and that includes any egg-timers not set to the default of 12 hours.. The problem is that ScreenLogic will let you enter a bazillion schedules, but only the first four will work.

If you have a real EasyTouch, then the max is 12 schedules / egg-timers.

I can't think of anything that would cause the lights to be controlled by the Pool circuit being on or off...

If you push the Aux button for the pool light, does it come on, no matter the time??

Anything else not work??

Thanks,

Jim R.

So this problem just started. I do not have the easy touch lite. I can only turn the lights on or off right now because according to my schedule they are technically "activated" according to the schedule.

- Air blower for spa - I can turn on or off
- Lights - I can turn on or off
- Water feature - will not respond
- Pool - will not respond
- Spa - will not respond

First thing to try would be to fully power down the ET and then restart.

You can also use the RESET button on the ET panel. That is like rebooting your computer. Nothing will be deleted.

H,

One problem with ScreenLogic is that it keeps all the old data.. So just because it shows something does not mean it is current data..

You may have lost your com port..

Try these tests and tell me if they work or not... (Assumes your water is not so cold it has shut off the SWCG)

1. Use ScreenLogic and go in and set your Cell output to 100%, then wait 10 minutes and then go out to the cell and see if the output lights show 100%. If it does, then in ScreenLogic set the output to 40% and see if the output lights show 40%..

2. Using ScreenLogic turn on the pool light. The light icon should be green in ScreenLogic. Then go out and visually ensure the light is on. Then use the outside EasyTouch buttons and turn off the pool light. Visually make sure the light is off, then look at ScreenLogic and the pool light icon should not longer be green.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks,

Jim R.

H,

In your pic of the EasyTouch I can see a small circuit breaker for an IntelliChlor salt cell... But.. I don't see any salt cell in your equipment pad pics..

So, I guess the first question to ask is ... Do you have a saltwater pool, and if so where is the salt cell located???

When you ask, "where do I find the cell output?" are you asking about where to do this in ScreenLogic? I just assumed you had a salt cell, it you don't have a cell, then you can't do the test..

Edit.. You can still do the light test..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Equipment pad does not show a SWCG. Though it does have a puck feeder that is destroying the heater if being used.

If the pump is not run 24/7 when there are trichlor pucks in the feeder , very acidic water will back feed from the feeder to the heater destroying the heat exchanger.

Never put trichlor in the feeder. Get a SWCG or liquid chlorine.
