Hello,

Hoping someone can help me. This is the first time I've owned a pool. We have a 18' Intex pool that will be put up and taken down each year after summer and has sand under it which helped to level it.

Our hose attached to the pump came off and water gushed out causing the sand directly below to wash away. I packed up and put back what sand I could but now have a dip thats about 4" deep and maybe 1'x1.5' in size along the very edge of the liner (so around the seam). I have pushed the sand as far under the pool as I can but still can't fill the gap it left.

My question is, do you think it's safe to leave for the rest of the summer or should I drain it and fix the sand under the area? The leg beside it seems to be fine as it was on the brick, there is no bowing or shifting. I'm concerned about the pressure put on the liner. Will it cause it to tear or stretch out and not be able to be used next year? I'm hoping the liner is stronger than it looks. I have 2 littles who swim in this constantly so I just want to make sure it will be safe. I've attached photos if that helps.

Is there any other ways to fix this or reenforce it?

Thanks in advance :)

Well, if it's not too much trouble to drain and refill, for peace of mine - if it would be me - I'd probably not be content until I'd do that and try to level the sand. Otherwise, I know I'd be looking at those bulges and probably worrying about it the entire season.
