It is FLORIDAH!!! I bet that was in the direct sun to be that high but yeah it is hot down here!
Actually my sensor for the thermometer is in the shade!

It’s always a lot hotter here than at airport where official temp is measured... and airport is on the water too.

We waited until the sun set to get the stairs in! My daughter jumped in, said it wasn’t too cold but I’ll see what water temp feels like tomorrow!

How old is your daughter? I'm wondering how my boys will do with the 54" wall height because I don't think either of them will be able to stand up in it yet. My older son MIGHT be able to stand on his toes and still be able to breathe, but not sure yet. They are 7.5 and 9 (and both on the shorter side for their ages). I'm actually nervous that they won't have as much fun in the pool because they won't be able to stand. They are used to a friend's inground pool that has a shallow end where they can easily play and steps where they can easily climb onto floats and stuff.

Edit: my oldest happened to walk by me at the computer, so I measured him - 50"!

In my 54” pool the water level near the cove is 4ft - some places a little more. The first year my son (9 then) did the tippy toe hop - now (11) he’s good just flat footed everywhere. At that age the don’t stand still so they kinda bounce around all over. The wedding cake steps are a good resting place.

My youngest was as tall as the pool when it was built, so the first couple of years if he touched bottom his nose and mouth were underwater. We got him a water ski style life vest and he wore that until he could walk flatfoot in the pool with his mouth above water.

Something else people have done for their little ones is build an underwater platform were they can take a break inside the pool if they can't touch bottom. Platform for kids??

Ha! My daughter is 37! An inch taller than me, water hits her right at her armpits. She doesn’t mind slightly cooler water, while I prefer a couple of degrees warmer.

I still have to weight the steps. They are fastened to the outside portion so they aren’t going anywhere, but they are floating about an inch off bottom. Still dithering around deciding what I want to use.

I didn’t even check today. Cloudy all day, and a short but ferocious storm... water level went up a good half inch or more!

I don’t have a picture but I can describe. I buried copper wire in a ring around the pool - 18” out, and about 6” deep. I then used a water bug bonding plate in my skimmer to bond the water, and connected a piece of the same copper wire to the water bug and to the buried ring. I used this at the skimmer and this at the ring. Same process to bond wall connector strip (under an upright) to the ring. That is the only metal on my pool.

I am still using my Intex pump so I haven’t bonded that, but when I buy a new pump I will do the same process to connect the new pump to the bonding ring.
