Salt Target for PoolMath App

I installed the PoolMath App, it has recommended ranges/targets for everything except SALT and BOR. What should those targets be?

PS: New pool owner with SWG for 21,000 GAL vinyl pool.

Your salinity depends on what swcg you have.

For a SWCG you have to have salt but the borates are not a necessity. Info on Borates --> Borates in pool - Further Reading

It is a SimpleCell SWG - Equivalent to T15. Thanks for tip on signature and profile data, just updated!

It is best for the Hayward Aquarite system to retain a salinity of ~3000 ppm. This protects the circuitry of the controller.

Do be aware that many members have been having issues with generic SWCG cells indicating inaccurate salinity readings. So use the K1766 test kit for salinity readings.

Thanks Marty! I have a TF-Pro Salt with SmartStir Test Kit on the way (ordered today). I assume the salt test in that will work vs the K1766?
