Salt cell Winter

We leave our pool running here in Dallas Texas all winter and I change the pump to run at night. Should I remove the salt cell and use a word yet cap? This is my first year with my Jandy salt cell and I know they stop working at 50 degree water?

Leave your SW cell connected. There is no wear to it having water run through it when off due to cold water.

Jandy’s version of a dummy cell is called a spool pipe. You just unscrew the cell and pop it in instead so the system can run. Not sure which one you’d need but here is one as an example.

That being said, all the units can handle the elements and although I bring mine inside in NY, I wouldn’t bother in TX.

You can turn it to 0% when it’s cold or just let it ride and if it’s warm enough to work, it’ll work.
