18000 gallon Marcite pool with a Hayward T15 Salt Cell.. Salt cell readings are all over the place.. at times, it's reading 100-400 PPM, others 1500PPM.. Took a sample to the pool store today and my phosphates are insane (2600)... added suncoast today to treat.. Salt levels at the pool store are 2800PPM.. My question is, could those phosphates be causing bad salt readings from the cell? or is the cell dying?

When I force the cell on, the electrical readings look within range, so I think I'm good there, just maybe the sensor portion is jacked up? Salt cell was recently cleaned to try and clear the issue, but that didn't help.

Anyway.. Any help would be appreciated..

The salt cell is not an accurate salinity measurement but the cell could be dying. The low phosphates you have aren’t related to anything useful. Only when they are above 6000ppm is it anything to mess with. The pool stores just like to sell the remover. See the article here for how TFP operates.
